Nina Welp, Managing Partner of the WELP Group
“The new WELP Group umbrella brand represents our combined strength and the comprehensive scope of our services. Our aim is to develop our existing business areas, provide solutions for the mobility of tomorrow, and establish ourselves as a system partner to even more sectors.”
Ronald Gerschewski, Managing Partner of the WELP Group
Georgsmarienhütte, October 2020 The WELP Group is aiming to reposition itself for the future with the launch of this strategic realignment. In addition to its existing range of diverse services from development through to production, the WELP Group will be capitalising on even greater cooperation across its seven European sites going forward to offer its customers turnkey solutions from a single source – particularly for small and medium-sized series. The benefits of combining all services under a single roof are clearly apparent to customers thanks to the new brand identity complete with a reimagined portfolio of services based on the company’s core areas of expertise: Supply, Customise and Protect.
With over 720 employees and more than 40 years of experience, the WELP Group has asserted itself above all as a supplier to the automotive industry, specialising in special vehicle production and bullet-proof solutions for authorities, aid organisations and VIPs. This realignment allows the WELP Group to offer its customers even greater flexibility and more diverse solutions from a single source – from initial ideas through to series production, and from prototypes through to small-batch and special series.
In addition to automotive customers, other sectors including new mobility, agriculture, medical technology, security technology, electrical engineering and household goods stand to benefit from the combination and joint expansion of the Group’s core areas of expertise. “We know what’s important to our customers thanks to our many years of experience in the field, so this is a move we have really been working hard towards for some time. This realignment gives us everything we need to handle whatever challenges the future throws our way,” explains Andreas Heiker, Business Development Manager at the WELP Group.
The new brand identity has been developed in partnership with Territory – a brand content agency based in Gütersloh. The idea is that the WELP Group brand will benefit from an unmistakably distinctive market presence going forward and make life even easier for its customers, as the reorganised portfolio of services will allow them to find exactly what they’re looking for more quickly and easily than ever before. Customers can now expect to find the WELP Group’s expertise, services and products neatly categorised into three core areas: Supply (for supplier-based services), Customise (for bespoke packages) and Protect (for protection solutions). This cooperation will extend across seven of the Group’s locations across Europe. These include Farmingtons in Georgsmarienhütte and Wolfsburg, IndiKar in Wilkau-Hasslau and Kranzberg (near Munich), Dressel + Höfner in Neustadt, Dressel + Höfner International in Medias (Romania) and WELP Group United Kingdom.
