Feldschwarm® Eco-Project – Autonomous Farming in a Swarm
The demands placed on modern agricultural and off-highway vehicles are constantly increasing: efficiency, sustainability, robustness and automation are key priorities. IndiKar develops and implements comprehensive solutions for agricultural machinery, construction machinery and autonomous systems – from the initial concept to series production. In doing so, we combine traditional vehicle expertise with innovative technologies in the field of new mobility and autonomous applications.
Plastic components play a central role in modern agricultural and off-highway applications. They enable weight reduction, high design freedom and cost-effective series production – whilst offering high durability in use.
Together with strong manufacturing partners, IndiKar offers comprehensive solutions across the entire value chain – from development to series production.
In the field of plastic injection moulding, complex, high-precision components are produced in large quantities. The process is particularly suitable for:
The thermoforming process enables the cost-effective production of large-surface-area components – particularly for medium batch sizes or large component dimensions.
Typical applications:
The combination of both processes results in optimally tailored solutions that are impressive both technically and economically.
The Feldschwarm® Eco-Project has developed an innovative approach to agriculture: several autonomous, smaller machines work in a coordinated swarm, enabling resource-efficient, soil-friendly and efficient farming.
IndiKar played a key role in this project, contributing its expertise in vehicle development, design and system integration. The aim was to develop robust and practical machine concepts for autonomous use.
Key contributions:
The follow-up project Field Swarm – RUBIN (FS Robin) consistently builds on the results of the Ökoprojekt and advances them towards market readiness and industrial application.
The aim is to develop an economically viable ecosystem for autonomous agricultural systems. In doing so, the technologies are not only further developed but specifically geared towards mass-production readiness, scalability and practical suitability.
IndiKar provides support in particular through:
In the off-highway segment, IndiKar has been involved in various development projects. The focus has been on innovative vehicle concepts, robust designs and the implementation of sophisticated design and functional solutions for use in extreme conditions.
