Our Security Forum 2023 – our event for the entire Secure and Defense Industry with a diverse program round off the subject “Ballistics and Explosions” takes place at the corporate site of the companies MBDA Deutschland GmbH and TDW GmbH in Schrobenhausen near Munich on 25th May. You may expect the following:
- Live demonstrations of armoured vehicles and protection solutions,
- Interesting lectures,
- Live demonstrations concerning the subject “Ballistics and Explosions”,
- an exhibition with current solutions of the Secure and Defense Industry as well as
- Excellent possibilities for networking.
We are also pleased to inform you that the Förderkreis Deutsches Heer e.V. will host a reception in Munich on the eve of the event.
Mr. Joachim Herrmann, Bavarian State Minister of the Interior, Sports and Integration will be the patron of the Security Forum 2023.

Dear Sir or Madam,
When it comes to security, Bavaria has led Germany for many years now. The Free State ensures the safety of its citizens like no other federal state. Our extremely high standards are the key success factor for a peaceful society, for our social cohesion and for a strong economy.
While everything is currently overshadowed by the war in Ukraine, it remains no less important to keep an eye on threats to our domestic security. On the contrary: we are more conscious than ever of the various threats we face. And we want to counter them with well-qualified, optimally equipped security forces.
In this respect, it is essential that the police are equipped with modern and high-quality technical equipment. This is the only way they can carry out their work professionally and contribute effectively to internal security.
Bavaria is therefore proud to be home to some of the leading companies in the security and defence industry. Schrobenhausen has for decades been considered one of the centres of this economically and technologically important industrial sector.
That is why it gives me particular pleasure to welcome you there for the first time to the Security Forum 2023. With leading representatives from business, politics, government agencies and the media, we will address current developments in the field of ballistics and security.

This is where you will be able to take a look at some of the feedback from the Security Forum 2019, which focused on “Mobility and Communication” complete with action-packed vehicle demonstrations and specialist presentations.
Extremely demanding terrain, outdoor-activities full of action, a lot of mobility and communication – a more suitable location as the FurstenForest could have not been chosen by the WELP Group for its Security Forum. Europe’s largest off-road park on the former barracks ground of the Pommern barracks in the North of Osnabrück sets the highlight of this year’s event of the leading manufacturer in the field of development and manufacture of armoured security vehicles vividly in scene.
Where visitors are otherwise looking for an outdoor thrill with a monster truck or paintball, 200 professional visitors were suitably impressed of what 30 of the protection industry could offer – among them several well-known names such as Rheinmetall, Diehl Defence, DND, Eibach, Isoclima, AGP or Hänsch.
The conlusion of the WELP Security Forum, which was supported by the Mönch publishing group this year was very positive: “The fact that we were able to increase the number of visitors to such extend after the successful premiere two years ago and especially great interest of authorities and the industry likewise shows that we are on the right track”, affirms Ronald Gerschewski, Managing Director of the WELP Holding GmbH. “It is good to see that our event evolves into an industry gathering in the field of protection.”
